Our magazine in a nutshell
In our world today, an article is old after a week. But the content of Perspective Living is about perspective. That means it is timeless and always relevant in this time in history. What’s more, there are only points of view here, no conclusions or positions to be taken.
So, what kinds of content can you expect to find?

Who is this magazine for?
Our magazine is for anyone with an independent mind. But also for anyone who is interested in the idea of not following the herd and having their own view on things. Often seeing different perspectives can help with this. Furthermore: This platform is for people from every background, every gender, every type of person, anywhere in the world.
So many perspectives! Why our magazine?
At Perspective Living Magazine, there is always room for that outside perspective. There is space for fresh outlooks on life and inspiring stories. But our magazine also offers a refuge where we can escape from that autopilot for a while. And from that relentless, exhausting need to always take a stand. To always have to be “for or against”, to “like or dislike”, that is so common in our world today. Here, there is room for “this is my perspective, what is yours?”. Here there is a chance to listen and to pause, to think about something for a moment.

Changing our perspective just a little bit
In our day-to-day lives, we all do and see things in a certain way. It depends on our culture, our family, the time we live in. Most of us find ourselves among people, groups and media that hold the same views as we do. But what if we changed our perspective? What if we made a small change in the way “things are done” that we normally don’t think about? Even a small shift can make a difference to our day, don’t you think? It can make a difference to our lives, the lives of others and…since we’re on a roll, to the world!

Femke van Iperen, Publisher & Editor
P.s. a little about me to explain where this need to write about perspectives comes from.
I worked as a camerawoman for 17 years for clients in and out of the studio. From Sky News such as the moving experience of filming Princess Di’s funeral, to an interview with George Michael for German television. Plus on location for companies such as Ernst & Young in Singapore, Tokyo and Hong Kong. There were also regular clients such as CNBC, Reuters Financial and Travel Channel.
I started writing after completing my postgraduate studies at the London School of Journalism (LSJ), where I continued as a television co-lecturer. I started out reporting local news in North London and a column on British art for NRC Netherlands. For many years I also wrote feature articles and worked as an editor for trade publications. These included the International Travel & Health Insurance Journal (ITIJ) and Airmed & Rescue Magazine, Voyageur Publishing and BodyLIFE UK magazine. We targeted readers across the globe, from the emergency services to the military, aviation and health and welfare sectors.
Working for so many different readers and TV viewers has made me more aware of all the different perspectives in the world. And of my own Dutch perspective while living in a different country for nearly 30 years. And vice versa, now that I am back in the Netherlands. I also became more aware of the different perspectives I had living in London with all those different cultures.
Combined with all the structural changes going on in the world right now, I thought it was time for a platform, a magazine. A refuge for all kinds of perspectives on life. So we can share them and make our lives and the world a little better. What do you think? Are you ready to join us?
