You may not see it. But sometimes you do. In fact, you might just stumble across it, as this Perspective Living reader did. Her images below show something (if you’re open to it): Nature imitates life. “Hey, beautiful creature,” it seems to say, “what has man done to you?” Or, “Hey, little human, what are you doing in that tree, with that big head?” If we could see life through nature’s eyes, what would nature art look like? See below for a little magic in your everyday life.
Do you remember those summer days, lying on the ground, looking for animals in the clouds that drift by? Maybe you still do that, perhaps with your children. You could say that these special cloud formations are nature’s way of representing life, that they are nature art. There there are, a bear or a dog, or a rabbit silently passing by. If you are open to it, of course. You might even see an angry man or anything else for that matter.
We’ve long wondered whether art imitates life or vice versa. This has been a mystery since English author Oscar Wilde proposed in 1889. After all, he suggested it’s life that imitates art more that the other way around. But did you know that nature imitates life too? And that it goes beyond those animal cloud formations in the sky. And all we have to do is be open to see it.
To give you some inspiration for this new way of seeing, just take a look at the photos below. They were taken by one of our readers, a woman who likes to walk in the woods every day. What you see is how she found it. She did nothing to change that. These images quite clearly show how nature imitates life, if you are open to it, wouldn’t you say?

Nature art: Hey beautiful beast!
Looking at the images above: can you see it too, when you look closely? A beautiful beast lying on the ground, with sad eyes? That this nature art seems to have a message too? For example, if you look a little closer still, about how humans treat animals? As mentioned, one of our readers noticed this in the woods on one of her walks. Could it mean something? Or just a bit of magic in our daily life, if we’re open to it…
“Could this nature art mean something? Or just a bit of magic in our daily life, if we’re open to it?”

Hey little human: Such a big head you have
Meanwhile, nature also seems to have been busy imitating humans! As can be seen in the picture of nature art above. It too was discovered by the above mentioned reader as she was walking in the woods. In this case, you could say that it is a rather funny representation of humans. How else can we be depicted? Because there we are, with a smartphone in our hands. We are completely absorbed in it, unaware of our surroundings… With a huge head! After all, we do consider ourselves quite important compared to other living beings, don’t we? With that huge head of ours.
So there we are. If it were a nature art work we would call it ‘Human.’ Or how about: ‘Human — Permanently Connected To Phone With All The Media Possibilities We Can Think Of.’ With that big head of ours, unaware of our surroundings: what else should we call it!? If anything, a pretty realistic image, right? We could say, nature has humour!

Does art imitate life? What do you think (little human)?
So, next time you find yourself on a walk in nature: we have a plan for you! And also for your children in case you are on a family walk. Why not take a look. Stand still and wait. And with some luck, can you find some representations of a human too. Or even of an animal? Take a picture of nature art on that media-phone of yours, and send it to us. That way, we can share this unusual perspective with the rest of the world!
